The Hawker Siddely HS 748 (Formerly Avro 748) seen here at Stornoway
were originally acquired by British Airways for their routes in Scotland.
They were put into service on the Berlin-Münster routes in 1986 due
to over capacity of the Boeing 737. Designed in the 1960s the aircraft
was not ideal for the German routes and was replaced by the ATP after only
around two years in Berlin.
